The place to go when you need to know
The Benton County Extension Center is available to help you get the information you need. Extension can get you research-based information in the areas of agriculture, business and the workforce, children and teens, community development, environmental quality, family life, home and garden, and nutrition and health.
The Benton County Extension Office is open Monday through Friday. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
MU Extension has publications on agriculture, natural resources, lawn and garden, home and consumer life, nutrition and health, families, community and leadership development, business and careers, emergency management and other topics. Prices vary by publication.
We are taking orders for the 2015 Red Books. If you would like to reserve a copy, please contact our office. The cost is $4.50 per book.

This program was designed specifically for board members of nonprofit organizations. Participants can log in at any time and take all 16 lessons at once or can break the training up in 15-minute intervals. No meetings to attend and no travel expenses mean both time and money will be saved. To register go to extension.missouri.edu/buildyourboard.
Collecting and Utilizing Hay Test Information
This program will discuss how to take a hay test, where to send the sample, what tests to request, and what do the results mean. The meeting times and locations are listed on the following flyer. Cost is $5.00 per person.

Small Steps to Health and Wealth
Learn ways to improve both your personal finances and your health. Classes meet weekly from 10 am to noon on Fridays October 2, 9, 16, & 23, 2015 at Katy Trail Community Health conference room, Harbor Village 17571 N Dam Access Road in Warsaw, Missouri 65355. This program is free of charge, registration is required. Please call the University of Missouri Extension office in Benton County (660) 438-5012 for more information or to sign up. This four part program is offered by the University of Missouri Extension in Partnership with Katy Trail Community Health and Harbor Village. Registration deadline is September 30, 2015.
