    EV3 Robotics Training at Computers on the Farm

    Description:

    Participants will learn how to implement 4-H Robotics programs with youth using the LEGO EV3 robots. Positive youth development principles, resources, and strategies for teaching STEM content will also be shared. The training will be held at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks, 490 Tan Tara Estate, Osage Beach, MO 65065. Lunch will be provided. Lodging on Friday, January 17 is available at a group rate of $75 per night. Call the resort to book your room at your own expense.

    Focus on Kids, Union, Mo.

    Description:

    Court ordered parenting class to help divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children.  Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.

    Barn Quilt Class

    When:  Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    Description:

    Participants will learn how to create a 2' x 2' painted barn quilt. Participants will be provided with all materials needed and also be provided additional materials/supplies to take home if needed. Each registered participant will leave the workshop with a quilt they can hang on the their property.

    Computers on the Farm - Missouri Users Conference

    When:  Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, noon to Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, 4 p.m.

    Description:

    Computers on the Farm is an annual event for all people interested in computer applications on the farm. Topics are planned for both beginning and advanced users. Demonstrations and discussion of computer technologies for farm applications are emphasized. Much of the conference consists of current farm users sharing experiences about computer applications they are using in their operations.

    Several hands-on session for beginners and experienced farm computer users will be available. Both hardware and software will be provided, but feel free to bring your own equipment (computers, hand-helds, digital cameras, etc.) for specific hands-on help.
