    96th Annual Diversified Ag Conference

    Description:

    The Webster County University of Missouri is holding the 96th Annual Diversified Ag Conference. Participants can choose from a variety of topics, sessions will be held concurrently, so participants will need to choose the sessions they wish to attend. Each session is 1 hour in length with one topic presented to everyone. The conference is from 8:30am to 2:30pm on January 25th, 2020 at the Faith Baptist Church in Marshfield. The registration fee is $15 for adults and $10 for students, lunch will be catered from Shelia's Cafe.

    Non-Chemical Weed Control
    Guiding Farmers to Legal Resiliency (12 things to know about farm law)
    Home Gardening tips/specialty crops
    Making good hay in bad weather
    Tips on raising Small Ruminants
    Farm to Fork strategies
    The topic being presented to everyone is "Fake meat" and "Artificial milk"
    There will be displays to visit during breaks and door prizes.

    2020 Selling Local Foods Workshop

    Learn the tricks of the trade to offering great customer service followed by the advantages and disadvantages of selling your farm products through different outlets such as farmers' markets, community supported agriculture, selling to restaurants, selling to grocery stores, selling wholesale, and agritourism.

    West Central Regional Energizer

    Description:

    It’s West Central Regional Energizer time again! The 2020 Energizer will be January 25 from 9:00 – 3:00 at the Clinton Middle School. There will be three 55-minute workshop on topics such as livestock, scrapbooking, robotics, photography, natural resources, foods, entrepreneurship, clover kids, public speaking, volunteer orientation, gardening, and many others. Workshops will be available for all ages from clover kids to experienced volunteers. During the Energizer, those wanting to run for State 4-H Council Regional Representative or have been selected for Senior MRFs will be doing their interviews and those selected to go on will be announced at the end of the Energizer.

    Registration:

    Cost will be $15 if registered by January 10 and will be $20 at the door. This cost includes lunch, however, if you sign up after January 10 we cannot guarantee lunch. There is a no refund policy including inclement weather.  more...
