Cultural Heritage Tourism & the Arts
When: Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The Cultural Heritage Tourism and the Arts workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Thurdsay, November 14, at the Hall of Honors on the campus of Wentworth Military Academy, Lexington, MO. Registration is $30 per person before Nov. 13. Thirty-five dollars per person at the door. Registration includes lunch and workshop materials.
Cultural Heritage Tourism encompasses a comprehensive approach to tourism that includes elements of living culture, history and a sense of place that communities value and steward for the future.
This workshop will help community members evaluate their cultural, historic and artistic assets and determine how to utilize those assets to promote local economic development through tourism.
$30 per person for Old Trails Regional Tourism Partnership members
$35 per person for non-members
Registration fee includes lunch and workshop materials

Tai Chi for Arthritis is an easy and effective exercise class, integrating the mind and body, that improves flexibility, muscle strength and balance. The class is based on the Tai Chi for Arthritis program supported by the Arthritis Foundation of America.

The Strength and Balance Exercises for the Elderly program is to help frail seniors learn to improve their mobility and balance and reduce risk of falls. The program focuses on breathing, strength, stretch, coordination, and balance.
