Food Preservation Camp (Session 1 of 5)

"Food Preservation Camp" is a one day event that allows participants to focus their time and attention and learn the basics of food preservation: canning, pickling, freezing, drying, salsa and jams/jellies. Classes are hands-on and participants leave with recipes and handouts as well. more...
"Food Preservation Camp" taught all aspects of food preservation. During Session 1, Pressure Canning was taught, using the MU Extension Home Preservation curriculum.
Registration forms are available on the Greene County Extension website and can be printed out and mailed in with a check. Registration is also available online for those wanting to pay by credit card. Advanced registration is required. Space is limited to the first 20 to enroll and pay. more...

This radio program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. Morris Westfall conducts the interview with Patrick Byers, MU Extension-Greene County regional horticulture specialist. The program airs several times on Saturday and Sunday on radio stations KWTO, KTXR, and KBFL.
