Certified Global Business Professional Exam Training (3 day course)

This will be a three-day course covering the primary content areas of the CGBP exam. These areas include global business management, global marketing, resources/data sources, international supply chain management with a focus on export facilitation and trade finance. Specific topics included and skills participants will learn are assessing company readiness to export, international business plan development, foreign partner selection, channel management, incoterms, international export documentation, financing export growth, risk management (political, economic, finance), foreign market selection, foreign market entry mode, international logistics (moving freight globally), international trade compliance issues, and international payment methods.
This course is aligned with the national NASBITE CGBP trade professional exam and would support efforts of participants to sit for the national exam.

MU Extension/KOLR10 Television Interview "From the Ground Up" (Session 5 of 40)
When: Thursday, July 31, 2014, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This live television program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. The KOLR10 meteorologist and others from KOLR10 television, Springfield, conduct the interview, which includes MU Extension horticulture specialists and others with gardening expertise. The program airs on Thursdays on the KOLR10 Midday Newscast, at 11:15am.
Organic Gardening Academy (Session 7 of 11)

The Greene County MU Extension office is pleased to host the 2014 Organic Gardening Academy. This series of classes related to organic gardening will present proven, science based techniques on a wide range of topics. Each class will include a presentation of the subject, followed by a hands-on demonstration of the techniques learned during the class. The speakers have a passion for organic gardening, and subject matter expertise.
Organic Weed Management
The introductory class on April 17 is free. The registration fee for each following class is $20. A discounted rate of $180 is available for all 10 classes purchased as a package, if purchased by May 1, 2014. Team Nutrition for Child Care (Session 4 of 9)
When: Thursday, July 31, 2014, 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Fair Grove - "The Little School" day care center
The program director and staff from "The Little School" day care center will participate in the MOve Smart program. A program to encourage providers to incorporate more physical activity into their program plans. The program supports physical activity and the reduction of childhood obesity.
