Annually hundreds of 4-H'ers share the skills and knowledge they have gained throughout the club and project year by exhibiting projects and presenting demonstrations at the Missouri State Fair. Not only do fairs provide an excellent way of showing individual accomplishments but also serve an important role in marketing 4-H to Missouri citizens.
Demonstrations and exhibits at the State Fair provide youth the opportunity to showcase knowledge and skills; practice skills in following specified guidelines, decision making, and organization; and in promoting 4-H.
Demonstrators are selected at the county level to present demonstrations/illustrated talks at the Missouri State Fair. Registration information should be submitted by July 15. Exhibits are also selected at the county level to be showcased at the State Fair. Exhibits are delivered to the State Fair by county staff or volunteers and arrive Sunday, August 4 or Monday, August 5.
