Pike County Youth Fair (Session 3 of 4)

It is an opportunity for personal growth and development of the young person who participates. As the youth participants learn to do and do to learn, we provide opportunities for young people to develop character, learn to share, cooperate and develop life skills. – web description.
The fair consists of a variety of shows that will be evaluated by a judge, allowing the youth to receive knowledge on how to improve their livestock. Another part is self-evaluation judging that takes place with inside exhibits.

Building Better Child Care - Babysitting Basics for Youth

this is a 6 hour class for youth who are becoming babysitters.
Six hours of instruction dealing with first aid, emergency management, feeding babies, bathing babies, job skills, responsibilities of babysitting, playtime.

Making Cover Crops work for you

Main speaker will be Rich Hoormann, MU Extension agronomy specialist. He will provide information to producers about cover crops and how to use them in their cropping system. Rich has been involved with applied cover crop work in Central Missouri Cropping Systems and use of cover crops in Grazing Systems since 2009.
