This class covers the basics for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs that provide government money to small businesses willing and able to perform R&D for the participating government agencies. Under the SBIR program, agencies such as Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, NASA, and National Institutes of Health must designate 2.5% of their extramural R&D budgets to small businesses (<500 employees). 2.5% may not sound like much money, but it totals over $2 billion per year.
This is a free class, but seating is limited. For information or to reserve a place in the class, please contact John Woodson at firstname.lastname@example.org or (573) 341-7544.
