Soil health has been a hot topic in agriculture lately. The term soil health is often used interchangeably with soil quality. Both refer to the capacity of soil to sustain plant and animal productivity, maintain or enhance water and air quality and support human health and habitation. Cover crops can be used on crop fields to help with weed control, build soil structure, and also can also be used as emergency forage for livestock production. This workshop will teach attendees the basics about cover crops.
Please RSVP by Friday, July 26 to prepare for lunch an materials. Meeting is free thanks to sponsors.
