    Southwest Region Council Meeting (Session 2 of 2)

    Dr. Judith Stallmann, professor of agricultural economics and rural sociology at the University of Missouri will be the featured speaker. Judy will presenting from several years of research data that provides insightful information about population and economic changes in the counties in our region. She also has developed tools that allow for comparison of some first class counties.

    Region Extension Council meetings are open to the public. The region extension council for southwest Missouri is comprised of representatives from each of the 17 extension county councils in the Southwest Region. Each county council, whose members are elected by a public vote, selects its representatives to the regional council where each county has one vote.

    The purpose of regional extension councils is to be a forum through which member county councils cooperate in providing effective educational programs for the region.

    Session topic:

    Vice Chancellor Marshall Stewart is the featured speaker at this regional council meeting which will included all county commissioners in the region.
