4747 Troost Ave, Kansas City MO map...
This three-hour offering is for current and future business owners and entrepreneurs who have little or no knowledge of writing a business plan.
"The Basics of Writing a Business Plan" is designed for business owners and managers who need to know how to create a business plan for their organization so the plan can be a useful management tool. During this course, participants will learn the importance of business plans, the key required elements of a basic plan and data that must be included.
Participants will also get tips on writing style to make the business plan easier to understand and more professional in appearance. Participants will leave this session with a greater understanding of what their business plan should look like and how to get started writing one.
It will also provide guidelines for style and appearance to help create a professional look for your business plan.
Discussions are facilitated by business counselors who will help you examine your individual situation, explore opportunities and discover new ideas. You'll learn from other participants and have a host of valuable resources available to you.
If you are a dislocated worker you may qualify to attend this course at no charge. This includes those who have been downsized or have entered early retirement. Individuals who have been let go and are now in jobs for which they are overqualified are also eligible. Dislocated workers can attend this class at no charge if 1) a Missouri resident or 2) dislocated from a Missouri company. The normal $30.00 fee is covered by the Missouri Division of Workforce Development. In order to attend the FastTrac NewVenture course via dislocated worker scholarship, participants must attend The First Steps to Starting a Business and The Basics of Writing a Business Plan before they are eligible to enroll in FastTrac NewVenture.
