    Deer Management Workshop

    When:

    Thursday, July 18, 2013, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Where:

    Multi-Purpose Building at Alton School
    Alton MO

    Description:

    Targeted program to teach producers how to improve forage production economic return while protecting the environment. Techniques include management intensive grazing, pasture based dairying, seasonal feeding systems, and fescue toxosis. The program inspires increased economic development and social viability in rural Missouri.

    Session topic:

    Missouri Department of Conservation will present topics on: food plot preparation, forest management, population surveying using trail cameras, cost-share availability for improving deer habitat, and aging deer on the hoof/teeth
