A 4-H Shooting Sports Safety Training will be held Tuesday October 8th and Thursday October 10th from 5:30-8:30 pm both evenings, at the Howell County Extension Office. This 6 hour training is a one-time pre-requisite for participation in any 4-H Shooting Sports project. Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Howell County Shooting Sports program is open to all 4-H members. Any youth age 8 (by December 31, 2013) or older may join 4-H. Enrollment paperwork and $20 annual dues may be turned in at the training. Please pre-register by Monday, October 4th by calling (417) 256-2391.
Shooting Sports project meetings will be held weekly, every other week, or monthly depending on the time of year. Shooting Sports members will have the opportunity to attend county, regional, and state shooting competitions during the summer months. There is a one-time Shooting Sports project fee of $25. Those who paid their project fees last year will not be charged again.
