Charles Holland has been with the University of Missouri Extension for eight years as a Business Development Specialist, headquartered in the Monroe County. As business development specialist, Charles works with businesses in all stages of growth, from start up to succession. Services include professional analysis, business counseling and training seminars on the latest business trends or concepts. Charles serves Monroe, Shelby, Knox, Marion, Lewis, Clark, Ralls and Pike Counties.
Charles is currently a member of the University of Missouri Extension integrated program team developing and facilitating healthcare information education for small businesses. With eight years’ experience in the private sector as an owner of a logistics company that was a customs bonded carrier, Charles is also on the International Trade team that assists businesses with exploring and developing plans to start exporting.
Charles has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. Charles holds the following certificates: Economic Development Financial Planner through the National Development Council, a certificate as a Certified Global Business Professional through North American Small Business International Trade Educator, Chancellor Certificate International Trade from University of Missouri-St. Louis and a certificate in Executive Coaching through the Blue Mesa Group. His prior business experience gives Charles foresight into the struggles and hurdles facing small businesses on a daily basis.
