MU Extension new employee orientation
Computer applications. University of Missouri Extension has supplied each specialist with a desktop computer equipped with software to enhance the delivery of high quality programs. It is your responsibility to make the most effective use of these tools in designing and implementing your programs.
Extension Technology and Computer Services (ETCS), located on the MU campus, is available to assist you with technology-related questions. There are excellent tutorials on EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint, Windows support and updates, and managing your e-mail through Outlook. Visit the “Tips in Less than a Minute” on the ETCS Help page to improve your knowledge and skills with your computer software.
As an MU Extension regional specialist, you will receive updates from ETCS to keep you current with software available, virus concerns, etc.
ETCS also provides face-to-face training for MU Extension employees on the various computer software programs that we use. If you feel you need training, consult with your regional director. In addition, Web-based training on various software applications is available to support your professional development. See the training section of the ETCS Web site for current online training resources.
